Our Foundation

The Reality: SFU is known for a lack of social identity. Too many people treat it as a “school that lacks culture” or just a place to commute to.

The Barrier: Climbing is usually inaccessible for students because drop-ins are pricey and the big gyms are way too far.

Our Solution: Project Summit changes the culture. We’re providing a unique platform to interact, stay on campus, and actually engage with one another.

Our Pillars Make Up Our Club: Accessibility, Inclusivity, Community

What We Offer

Accessible Climbing Sessions

  • Climbing shouldn’t be a “pricey” barrier for students. We provide rides and shoes for anyone who wants to try the sport without the high cost of drop-ins or travel to distant gyms.

Inclusive Community Events

  • We value inclusivity very high—it doesn’t matter if you are a pro or have never touched a hold. Our events are designed to make everyone feel valued and encouraged while they interact with the SFU community.

Cultural Enrichment & Connection

  • We provide a unique platform where people can actually engage with one another and stay on campus. We’re adding social identity back to SFU by giving students a real reason to hang out and grow together.

Whether it's just climbing or wanting to find community, we would love to have you at our events!

Aidan Yun

"We value inclusivity very high. Whether it’s your first time or you’re a pro, my goal is to make sure every event flows smoothly and that everyone feels encouraged. We provide the rides and the shoes; you just bring the energy."
